$1000 worth of cigars
OK, Andrew (DPD6030) brought up a question with his "if you had the $" thread about whether you'd buy special cigars or everyday cigars, but he asked in regard to CCs.
Well, I'd like to play a similar game. You get $1000 to spend on cigars - CC or NC. Here's the catch, they can only be cigars that you could buy at whatever time you look at the thread. Make believe that the offer is this, you get $1000, but it is a one shot deal, you must go immediately and do your shopping before you close this thread or respond - once you respond here or go to another thread, the $$$ is no longer available to you. It isn't what you'd "LIKE" to buy, but what you can buy - it is presently available at some vendor somewhere. Have fun with this, keep a running total. So, if you could shop today for cigars with $1000, and only what would you buy? Peace of the Lord be with you.

Re: $1000 worth of cigars
8 boxes of Oliva V Maduros from Best Cigar Prices, should have hit the $1K close to on the button.

The reason I decided to limit it to only what you can purchase now, is that there are some who'd want to spend it on this or that, and those cigars ar not presently available. Someone might try and stock up on Anejos, or something else that presently isn't available. I just thought it would be fun, and different question.

Re: $1000 worth of cigars
Wow you must be buying fakes... They are at least 400+ at a duty free location. Add tax and they get 'close' to 1k if you buy in Canada.

Re: $1000 worth of cigars
H. Upmann Mag 46's $180
Hoyo du Prince $130 Trini Fundy's $290 Cohiba Lanceros $340 Siglo VI (3) $60 That's $1000 on the nose. That sure was easy. If PLpc's and Hoyo du Gourmet's were available, the list would change substantially.

Re: $1000 worth of cigars
Looks like a good list to me. Though I would scratch the Mag 46's and du Prince's for a 50 cab of PLPC's. They're around.

You don't need to pay that, unless you want 01's

3 boxes of Behike 54s, and the leftover cash will be spent on tequila.

Re: $1000 worth of cigars
Oh another interesting tidbit here will be to watch how many people spend the $$ on CCs, how many on NCs, and how many will have a mix.
Maybe there ought to be some follow-up questions: If you selected all NCs, have you had any CCs before? If you selected all CCs, is that all you smoke? Just out of curiosity... PAX

Re: $1000 worth of cigars
I smoke whatever I'm in the mood for, beit nc or cc. I picked all cc's cause that's what I'm stocking up on right now, and what I'm enjoying right now. I have enough NC's to keep me for 100 years.

Re: $1000 worth of cigars
I smoke both, but don't really buy full boxes of many NC's. Only because not very many age well. And, more often than not, I only smoke NC's when I want a maduro and something full bodied/full flavored. The rest of the time it's CC's.
