Re: Battlestar Galactica
I'm anxious for the new season to start.
So, who's the last Cylon? And, will it matter at all in terms of the big picture, given how little the other four have affected anything?

Yeah, they sorta made a big point fo the cylons, but haven't explained why they matter (or how they even happened to survive). I have to assume something in this season will explain all that hullabaloo--and obviously it can't be coincidence.

Yeah, besides hearing music in their heads and killing Cally, their contribution has been contrived at best; they pointed Starbuck to the Viper with the direction to Earth, but that seems like such a weak plotline for four characters.

Probably the best as far as drama is concerned, though I guess that's arguable since I also watch Lost. As far as Science Fiction is concerned this show is king.

Re: Battlestar Galactica
I LOVE this show. It's so impressively well done with high production values, well written, and original as well. It also has just enough "weird" stylistic, moments to make it interesting and give it that artistic flair. I find the very best shows (IMO) rely on the quality of the writing. They have to be clever, but understandable, and have to know how to incorporate a balance of edgy drama, action, and wit. I find this show really does that and succeeds in drawing you into the story and making an emotional connection. Some scenes were so good I actually said, "Woah...." out loud.
On a side note, I hate the ads I see for the rest of the season on SPACE because they make it look like they give some things away. I am hoping they're not idiots and those are red herrings. |
