Default The World's Fastest Indian

I just finished watching The World’s Fastest Indian, it’s a 2005 flick starring Sir Anthony Hopkins. The movie is based around Burt Munro man from New Zealand who spent 25 yrs working on his old 1920’s Indian Scout motorcycle in order to race it at Bonneville Salt Flats, and set the land speed record for motorcycles. This catalogs his time in NZ briefly and spends the rest of the time cataloging his adventure in America, leading to his run at Bonneville.

Everything was great about this movie and I might never have heard about it unless my buddy Mike had recommended it. Everything rocked about this movie, the plot, the characters, the acting. This is def. one of those unknown films to a lot of people are a true gem. This movie was AMAZING! I give it 10/10, If you don’t see this, you will miss out.

I saw it last year during a blizzard where I got snowed in. Good movie, definitely watch it again. (big snow procedure: movie store, grocery store, video store)

It's pretty much spot on from what I understand. He certainly nailed the character of the craggy old South Islander to the tee. The beach they filmed on was actually 90 Miles beach up near Keri Keri at the northern tip of the North Island but the rest was filmed on site. I usually make it a point to watch that film at some point on the trip every time I fly to NZ.... conveniently the next trip is in 2 weeks

I really enjoyed it and have watched it a few times. Apparently, some things were changed for the movie (mostly time records), but it wasn't anything drastic that changed my feelings about the movie.
