Today I salute A1C Carl Anderson.

He was killed by an IED in Iraq on my birthday (Aug 29th, 2004).

Carl was a friend and a good Airman, he's a true hero who gave the ultimate sacrifice for his country, for that ALL of us are in his debt.

My shame at never having served is tempered only by my pride of what I do to support the troops.

Much respect and honor to all who have served in time of conflict or peace.
