Writing inside band?
I was pealing the band off a older M#5 and noticed there was writing in it, the bands are pretty small and I would say this was written before the band was placed on the stick, anyone seen anything like this or any ideas what it is? It would appear to be a hispanic name, the roller possibly?

Never seen that before. Maybe it's like a Willie Wonka golden ticket.

Re: Writing inside band?
It could have something to do with quality control. Perhaps this band/cigar was inspected by QC person #323 and then they signed it? Just a guess…
For some production QC processes – every so many items are inspected and the inspector signs them or marks them in some way. |

Re: Writing inside band?
I don't recall who but I thought I remember a few factories having the roller sign the bands from time to time as part of a way for them to take more ownership of the process. Maybe some smaller factories?

You've stumbled upon the first clue in a globe-spanning, Dan Brown-style conspiracy. Grab your cigars and meet me in Ulan Bator. I'll bring the whiskey and Immodium.

Perhaps it's the signature of the virgin who's thigh it was rolled on?

Looks like she forgot some digits in her phone number though. Bummer. Virgins are tough to find.

Re: Writing inside band?
If I had to put it to a real guess, maybe it was the top band in a package of monte bands, containing 323 of them. Midiala could be either the counter's name, or the location to where they were being shipped. Maybe 323 is an address number.
Just a few shots in the dark.

Re: Writing inside band?
I don't have a theory but think its pretty cool. Sometimes I forget that real hands rolled my cigars so seeing this just reminds me of that.
But more importantly, wonder if she was hot cause having a hottie roll my cigars makes them just that much better. |
