I Can't Decide
I just completed what amounts to the last 5 years of my life, by sending in my final graduate school assignment. Nothing left but the pomp and circumstance (and one final class this summer... but that's a non-issue).
As a way of reaching the end of this journey I wanted to celebrate with a nice cigar. I know I've sure spent many a night reading or writing and smoking, but this is different. This is a celebratory cigar to be certain. So, I'd like to employ your help in choosing my cigar of choice for tomorrow. What ever is chosen I'll smoke and also review. Thanks for the help. edit: sorry, it should be an Ashton VSG & Oliva V (I typed too fast) Last edited by rhmalone; 03-17-2010 at 01:54 PM. Reason: typo |

Damn I'm torn, Phillie Grape or a White Owl Peach????
On a serious note, congrats on reaching your goal! I'm sure it seemed like forever. I'm not good on recommendations, but I hope what ever you pick smokes well for you.

Well congrats..but what do you have to smoke? I would say just go through your stash and smoke something you have been saving for this special day.

That's sort of the plan, I have all 3 of these in the humi and the Ashton is one I've never had before but have always wanted to try, same with the Monti. The V is a cigar I love so would also be a great choice... see my problem? |

Re: I Can't Decide
Do you have a B&M near you? If so, go buy a Padron 1926 #9 Maduro. It is one of the best NC's I have ever had. I smoke one of those on a special occasion or to celebrate something.

That thought did cross my mind, but I can't swing the $$$ at the moment, thus I'm gonna go with something already in the humi... these were the 3 top contenders (don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining). |

Re: I Can't Decide
Out of the 3 you are contemplating I've only had the V's and I love them....so much so I just bought 15 of them from Dan this week
I do have a VSG seasoning right and which I can not wait to smoke.

Re: I Can't Decide
I chose the VSG. I love Monte#4s but I've smoked a bunch so a VSG would be more novel to me. After I finished 5 years of grad school I smoked an 04 God of Fire that I'd been saving since it first came out. I say smoke the rarest thing you got. Congrats and enjoy!
