Default What are these spots on my cigar?

Lit up a CAO Moontrance, which was pretty decent, but what are the black spots on it? I've only had this cigar maybe a couple weeks, along with the rest I got in a sampler from CI. Humidor never really got above 72 and the lowest it got was 55 but that was only for hours.

Any concern?

Probably some natural discoloration on the leaf. I won't worry about it.

Ok, I haven't really noticed any other cigars like it. This was also wrapped in cedar though so who knows.

I have 3 other CAO's. Kind of curious if they look similar under the cedar. Still in cello though.

Also noticed hints of white/cream in the filler. Normal?

Based on the photo, the filler looks normal to me.

cameroon wrapped cigars tend to vary greatly in shade and be somewhat blotchy
as to the filler may be a stem or just some lighter leaf tightly bunched

The light cream color you see is the central vein in the filler leaf.

Chris, while it is a personal preference, any stick that comes with a cedar sleeve...I take off immediately before it goes in my vino. There have been stories of AF Anejos with mold under the cedar...I just choose to stay clear of it.

My Anejos were somewhat moldy when I got them. That was last May. Thankfully it came off quickly, with my thumbnail, and has not recurred; nor have adjacent cigars in the humidor become infected.
Most importantly, they are fantastic!

I had a box of lonsdales that had cedar sleeves once, Out of the 10 6 or so had mold hiding under the sleeves. Taking them off is a norm for me now.

Probably just the oils/flavors they infused the tobacco with when they flavored it. As Mac mentioned the cedar has been known to hide/attract mold in some cases.

As far as the white/cream you noticed was it a flavor of white/cream or an actual white liquid in the filler? In the pic it looks good to go. Just keep in mind that these are flavored and adds stuff to the tobacco. When the tobacco is burning it sometimes reacts a little differently. Does not sound bad though.

Those marks are tear stains. A cigar fan cried when he saw an infused stick.
