Re: Nicaragua
Flying into MGA I would assume.
The Masaya Volcano national park is kind of neat to see - while it's not on the direct route from Managua to Esteli, it's only about 30 minutes out down a different road system. There was a fantastic restaurant in Tipitapa that overlooks the lake, but the name escapes me right now, I'll have to see if I can figure it out. Esteli, if you're into the nightclub thing there's CigarZone, the fact that FdC18 was like US$20/bottle made putting up with the music tolerable. Unfortunately, I don't remember the names of the other places I went (part of the problem here is that the names are in Spanish, which I don't speak). I'll have to see if I have some photos with signs in them. Sorry I can't be of more help. |

Re: Nicaragua
I was thinking more about this and it dawned on me that you happen to also know Jonathan Drew, I'm thinking maybe drop him a line and ask him if you can borrow Pedro Gomez for a day, that guy has the whole town dialed in. Whatever you want, need, suggestions, need to know or otherwise, Pedro can probably hook you up.
If you talk to him, please tell Jon I said hi. Oh, and Pedro likes US cigarettes, American Spirit brand (menthols, IIRC). |
