Default Caribbean Destinations

Looking to take the wife in September or late August. Really, before hurricane season takes off. I know there is still a risk, but this is not a thread about meteorology . Where are everyone's favorite destinations?
  • We have been to Cancun, Jamaica and Puerto Rico so I'd rather not go there.
  • Prefer all-inclusive simply because it is easy.
  • We like the outdoor activities like hiking, golf, zip lines.
  • Wife won't snorkel or SCUBA dive so those options dont matter

Try Cozumel and Grand Cayman. Went there for our honeymoon on a cruise and really enjoyed them.

Hurricane season is June 1st to November 30th, peak season is August 17 and September 2. I would suggest Grand Cayman as a destination.

Chip, August/September are probably the worst two months for Caribbean hurricanes, with October a close runner up/tie.
Of the six months of the hurricane season, June and July are the quiet ones, along with November.

As for destination, I am going in a few weeks to Punta Cana, DR.
As far as your dollar goes, tough to beat.
Swim up room, all meals, all alcohol, all transportation, airfare, top 3 resort, all for $2,300 for two.
It will be my second time there in three years. People are amazing. Very relaxing.

Majestic Elegance
They also have a sister property next door Colonial Majestic.
We prefer the Elegance.

Check out their website.

I booked it via Liberty Travel for complete package.

You will not regret going here for about half of what it costs elsewhere in the Caribbean.

My wife and I was debating on this exact spot or a cruise. Cruise won out as we get to see a variety of islands. But if someone is looking for a resort I couldn't find a better deal with the great quality/reviews.
