Gotta be Central America, kids. Nic, Guat, Panama, Costa Rica...
They have more ways to skin a coffeepot over there than all the other coffeebeings put together. Uh, IMHO.

Re: Your favorite bean/region/country - Period
I had my first really good coffee in Brazil and have had 2 wives from there( NOT a polygamist, separate marriages), so I gotta go with Brazil.

Same here, Kona Peaberry is fabulous when roasted properly, and reminds me of the islands with every sip...

Re: Your favorite bean/region/country - Period
I love Kenya, but am still experiment with blends so that it has some body... too thin on its own. I like most of the african coffees.

Re: Your favorite bean/region/country - Period
Single bean, too hard to pick. My usual blend (home roasted) is about 70% nicaraguan and 30% costa rican. Take the nicaraguan just past the first crack and the costa rican to just after the second. The flavors combine quite nicely!

Suprisingly, to me anyway, is that good ol Australia (oi oi oi) grows a decent bean themselves. Queensland beans, that is.

I like Sumatran, but the Brazil I have been roasting lately is just so damn good and has to be my favorite.
