Re: Health Insurance
I use Conventry, but what I did was find an insurance broker in my area and have them find the best plan for my family needs. They priced Coventry, Blue Cross, and several others against each other using the same criteria and Coventry was the best for us.

Re: Health Insurance
Very true. Its expensive to get maternity coverage before she's pregnant but dream on if she is already pregnant.

Re: Health Insurance
And I will say I hate you for having such a low rate - I won't even get in to what we pay

Re: Health Insurance
Three Letters.....
HSA To go along with a high deductable plan. It's the modern configuration that minimizes the premium (and the benfiit up to levels you could categorize as "care") by providing group pricing for services but only paying when you reach high deductables. Health insurance in this country had/has morphed into health care. Health care is expensive. If you are only looking for "insurance" (say above $ 5000 a year for a family) you can get pretty resonable rates. If you are looking for "Health care" with low copays and deductables - well there are no free rides. Contact a local broker who reps multiple plans is a thought.

Check out http://www.ehealthinsurance.com/
They list many different insurance plans and you can compare them. The wife & I used to have Kaiser but we opted to change to a Blue Cross ClearProtection Plus 1000 PPO

Re: Health Insurance
I was always "happy" with my BCBS ppo plan. I know it's apples to oranges, but my Aetna HMO is a constant headache if you ever need anything beyond a check up. I'll never do an HMO again, and if I can avoid Aetna, I will.

Re: Health Insurance
We have United Healthcare with an HSA. Incentives are quit smoking program, healthy back, maternity program (regular checkup during pregnancy) and they even reward you with money for joining the program. $250 for quitting smoking, $500 for maternity, etc. I pay about $270 monthly with $5000 deductible. Not quite sure about out of pocket, I'd have to look it up. Good luck... USA is horrible with healthcare..
