Default smoking in your car

I thought I saw a post from Mark (n2advnture) here about smoking in your car and the best way to minimize the smell however it could have been at our old home...and I can't seem to find the thread. Does anyone have the thread or know what I'm talking about? I just got a new to me car and i'm considering smoking in it but don't want it to smell like stale cigar all the time

I know there is a thread about a real cool spray that was reviewed which minimized the smell of smoke. I think it was called "Ozone" or something along that line.

FYI: The spray iscalled Ozium and it works very well.

I also use an auto ozone generator like this one:

Works well for me.

I would put a dryer sheet under the driver's seat as well. Keeps things nice and fresh, especially when your car's been sitting in the sun for awhile.

The Csonka Auto Air purifer that sits on the floorboards works quite well, you just have to vent the excess smoke and it keeps the car from smelling like stale cigars.

Not to be confused with the little ones that hang out of the cigarette lighters, those are kind of meh.

Or get a convertible

I smoke in my MINI Cooper convertible all the time. I also use a Cigar Bobken ashtray --works out real well.

Who cares about the smell; it's your car right? The ash tray should be trophy chest of memorable smokes in the car.

I smoke in my truck almost every day and I doubt you could tell. I have vent shades, I crack the driver's side window, and keep the AC vent by the door angled toward the opening. Works like a champ!!

Mark's article works unbelievably well. I have a company car I smoke in, and with the vent on (definitely set it so that its coming from the floor vent) and the driver window cracked, it seems every ounce of smoke shoots directly out the driver window. You can BARELY tell the car was smoked in with using that simple practice.

But because I am too lazy to do all the cleaning he recommends, I picked up a boxed container of the arm and hammer baking soda carpet freshener (this stuff is hardcore too, made for pets and smoking). Once every 3 weeks or so I pour maybe half a cup or so of that stuff just on the front driver and passenger side floor mats and let it sit there for an off day, or a couple hours or so if thats all the time you have. I then vacuum it out, and GONE is the smell. I have had people tell me they would never have guessed I smoke in it. I don't mean the smell is covered up... its GONE.

Long post for something simple, but it works really well and instead of the dryer sheet, this seems to eliminate the odor.

Ozium is good but I have found an even better product. Gone Smoke. You can use it like a regular spray or a fogger. Leave car running with ac on, get out and set the fogger off and in just a few minutes, you will never know anyone smoked in the car.

I'll spray the car down after a cigar and I use the fogger once a month and people are always like, "You must not smoke in the car, there is no smell".
