Anyone have a CAO Vision Humidor review
I have been debating on picking up a box of these, and one of the selling points to me is the humidor. Unfortunately I can't seem to find much info about it. Anyone have one and can snap pics of the inside and explain how it works?
Also, if you have a suggestion of a better travel humidor than this (considering costs), let me know. I will be going back to Malaysia this summer for a month, and need something like this. I have also been wanting to try these, as I have always found pretty positive reviews. Just don't feel like paying the B&M price of $20. Thanks! |

Re: Anyone have a CAO Vision Humidor review
there are probably better travel humidors out there that will hold more sticks than the vision box will and will be more durable. that being said I do not own one myself, I have a Xikar 15ct travel humi and it works great and there are larger sizes available as well. then just get some fivers of the vision and not pay the extra $$$ for the fancy box

Re: Anyone have a CAO Vision Humidor review
Well, I don't plan on bringing the Visions with me there. Those 'other' cigars are legal to buy there, especially at the duty free on the way. I just need a way to keep them good the entire time I'm there. Other than the trip to and fro, the humidor will be sitting in the apartment.

Re: Anyone have a CAO Vision Humidor review
A friend has the vision humidor and it seals fairly well, but for use as a travel humi it has a velcro strap at the bottom to hold the sticks and that's it. It just seems a little awkward to use for travel. IMO you'd be better off with an 18 stick Cigar Caddy (or bigger).

Anyway: My main thing is I want something that can be portable, hold at least 20 sticks (~6"X52), keep them safe, and will help with humidity. KL is crazy with 90% near daily humidity (it rains just about daily), and is also quite hot (80-90F). I have a few 20cts lying around I could use, but I can just see it getting destroyed on the way (I dropped one on the lid of another, and it caused a puncture straight through the lid). Figured plastic would be better. Keep the suggestions coming if you don't mind. Definitely appreciate it! |

Re: Anyone have a CAO Vision Humidor review
I wouldn't go with a Vision humidor for a travel kit. They don't always seal well. The tray is cedar lined MDF. Half the time the hygrometer is wrong. Also, the humidity pack doesn't last very long and is usually dead by the time you get it. There is also the previously mentioned velcro strap that is nigh on useless.
http://www.cigartoyz.com/_e/TRAVEL_H...ar_Humidor.htm I highly recommend that one. |
