What could i have gotten?
So a while back i ordered a few Man'o wars just to test them out and admire their beauty. but after receiving them i looked closer and noticed that one of them had a hair coming out of it!
i'm not exactly sure how the hair survived the cutting of the end of the cigar - but somehow it did! At the time i hadnt really thought of leaving the hair there and asking Man'o war's management about it, and i instead decided to try to remove it. clearly i underestimated the torcedors' forearm strength, and the hair broke! i'm regretting trying to remove it now that i think that i could have just taken a picture or short video and getting a reimbursement or even a little trust-restoring gift! What do you guys think i could have gotten out of it? (not that i wanted to cheat the company, but who would turn down a few free sticks?!) |

Re: What could i have gotten?
Perhaps you might have started a new trend, and people would asked Man'o'War specifically for "hairy cigars".

Re: What could i have gotten?
I was smoking with Darrell once and got I giant hair after cutting the cigar. I probably pulled three inches out before it broke. I said "hell, how much more could there be?" And lit it up. Never tasted or smelled burning hair so I wouldn't worry about it if I were you. you'd be surprised what you've smoked if you knew. In any given cigar you may find: spider eggs/webs, hair, twine, nails, beetles, beetle eggs...... It's a natural product that is rolled by hand in large quantities. Don't think about it, just enjoy it!

Re: What could i have gotten?
I find spider eggs give a cigar a sort of almond flavor, I often go out of my way to find them when in Argentina.

Re: What could i have gotten?
Not a fan of spider eggs in my cigars. Or hair. I will stick with leaves and twigs

Not sure about hair but I hear shredded newpaper and string tastes pretty good.

SCARY. I'm with most of you... I don't want to know/care what is in it as long as it tastes good. I'd never leave the house if I worried about all the nasties that are out there. |

Re: What could i have gotten?
I pulled what I thought was a hair out of a CAO gold once. I contacted the company, and sent along with photos. They sent me a nice reply apologizing, but informed me that it was more than likely pieces of the nylon string they use to tie the hands of tobacco together with. They asked for my address and sent me a fiver of different CAO cigars.
