Yet another opus question....
Actually 2 seprate opus questions..
first one.... I just got home from my local b&m where i picked up 2 of their last perfection #4's... not i have 8 or so difft sizes in my humi from this time last year, and the wrapper on them all is alot darker.. i know this is a reputable B&M so i'm not questioning the authenticty of them, but has anyone else notcied that this year?? and second... i know the "cello on or off" debate can go either way and theres no right or wrong.. but i notice in most of the "show us your humidor" pictures, majority of the opus's are cello free.. now mine are kept nice and quiet in the bottom of my humi and dont ever come out... would it make sense to take the cello off for aging purposes?? Again not asking if cello on or off is better.. but just asking if with this particular stick its better to remove it (as ive noticed most people do) thanks bros! |

Re: Yet another opus question....
Well the wrapper has varied a lot the last year or two...ill post a pic of 3 that I have for comparison when I get home...
As for cello, I keep 98% of my sticks naked...especially my opus! Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Yet another opus question....
Do you smoke at home? Take the cello off. Do you take your sticks on walkabout? Leave the cello on, to protect the wrapper regardless of its color. Personally, I think folks make too big a deal of this matter anyway - a cello is just a cello, but a good cigar won't last in my hummie long enough to age anyway.

Re: Yet another opus question....
I store my sticks in boxes in coolerdors. When I'm looking for something, I shuffle the boxes and sticks constantly. I leave the cello on to protect the goods.

Re: Yet another opus question....
I store them as they come except for some cedar wrapped Anejos. I make them naked to prevent against mold on the wrapper.
