What if all the world were a cigar bar?
I'm putting together some one liners for a blog article I'm writing: What if all the world were a cigar bar? It never ceases to amaze me how cigar enthusiasts treat each other.
Complete strangers send each other gifts worth a great deal, just for the satisfaction of seeing them enjoy it! Arguments and debates at B&Ms are almost always incredibly respectful of the other person's opinion. No one is looked down upon for what they smoke, whether it costs $1 or $100, because "it's all about personal preference". Camaraderie, brotherhood, respect, and mutual support is extended to anyone that walks into the store. People of all races, professions, and walks of life - from doctors and lawyers to construction workers and field hands - all sit together and talk as equals. I'm curious, what do you think the world would be like if everyone acted like they were in a cigar B&M? I'll cite your comments in the blog article. |

I think people would be more cordial to each other, world peace would pervade, and there would be a giant cloud of smoke over the entire planet. And we'd all be happy and relaxed. But its not a perfect world.

Depends on the type of smoke

Re: What if all the world were a cigar bar?
As a new entrant into this hobby I must say I was taken aback by how kind and helpful other cigar enthusiasts are. I participate in two other "niche" hobbies but have only seen such a large group of good people in this hobby.

That would be awesome... the kindness and camaraderie between complete strangers with only cigar smoking in common is baffling. Much like the way the world should be but likely, sadly, never will.

Re: What if all the world were a cigar bar?
i feel like it would be kinda similar to the episode of futurerama (sp?) when they showed a clip of the invention of alcohol. The world was all high tech and advanced with flying cars and stuff. Then a scientist goes "Hey come try this new delicious beverage i just created!" Then it goes to a world in ruins and ashes and everythings on fire. It would probably be similar to that maybe?

To paraphrase a quote from a good friend, "I'd come for the cigars, and stay for the people".

ROFL yeah, the President could use the excuse for Congress like we do for our ladies: "But if we buy in bulk we save money in the long run!!"
You're doing it wrong! :P lol hey, some of my best work is done at a B&M! When I was in insurance sales, I'd sit at a B&M and make calls all day while the store was empty. Few cigars and cups of coffee was way cheaper than renting an office Quote:
