Default Thinking about a humidor with drawers....

Right now what I do is put about 6 of each of my different CC's in a desktop with 60% beads. I have my large stash in a vino. Its getting a little cluttered and I need to pull stuff out to get to this other cigar and its getting kind of annoying.

I'm thinking about picking up a new humidor to organize my stick a little cleaner. I noticed that they have humidors with multiple drawers and was thinking this might be a good choice, but I wonder if the humidity bleeds faster with all these drawers.

Does anyone have experience with these humidors?

thanks

I am out on the lake fishing righjt now So I can't link pics, but there are a lot of humidors with drawers and other storage together. The onje I saw last that impressed me the most was a table top trunk style that had 5 drawers behind a door which is going to protect the seal easier than sealing 5 drawers constantly, and it had an upper storage area that help a couple boxes worth of loose sticks.

This sounds like it may be big, but I will check it out.

That looks pretty close to what I was thinking. The dimensions look kind of small, but I will have to compare them to my current desktop.

it is a bit bigger, BUT you wont need to buy another Humi for at least a few months

This is pretty close to what I found previously

I thought about that and later down the road I might, but I like having a desktop with a bunch of stuff to pick through without having to move too much around.

Stop trying to be the devil on my shoulder Bob..

Drawers wont help, trust me. I have two singles drawers in one of my Vinotemps, 3 100 count desktops, and probably another 50 singles in boxes in my coolers. Whatever you get you will still have to move stuff around to find that "one" smoke. If I am craving a particular stick, I give it one shot, if I cant find it I move on to something else.

I agree, eventually its not going to be enough too. Well if those RE's get in the way Bob, send them my way.

I'm just going to one up you and make my guest room a walk in..

Isn't this from that guy on ebay? I keep asking myself wth is wrong with them. The prices are just too good to be true. American cedar? Shoddy construction? Thoughts?

American cedar I'm almost positive. Same seller on eBay. I'd be suspicious.

I use multiple units of these, the Lucky 7 from Thompsons of all places. It's cheap, and the hygrometer is useless as is the default florist pads it comes with - but they seal well, I just use a tube of 65% beads and installed digital gauges as you can see on the bottom of the door. They work REALLY well, and I love the drawers. Very little fishing around and disturbing sticks looking for something, and super easy to organize. Each shelf holds 15-20 sticks depending on the size, with the center divided of each.

They are $100 online, I got them for $80 at the store.

Beyond these I use a regular chest and now a big cooler for boxes...blah.

save yourself the trouble.. just start converting a closet into a humidor.. I'll bookmark this thread and a year or two from now look back and check up on you .. My prediction is:

Now: Humidor
2 months: Wine Cooler
4 months: Plastic coolers in order to temporarily stave off the buying of a large aristocrat
1 year: Aristocrat
18 months: More coolers to avoid a walk in closet
2 years: give in
