Default Peterson Cigars

Hey. I'm getting pretty far into Pipe Tobacco these days, but as I was pursuing the Peterson website (Peterson primarily makes pipes and pipe tobacco) Well, I found they make a few Cigars. I really want to try one, but I can't find an online store that actually has the brand. Famous-smoke and Cigar-international didn't have them. Anyone know where I can find some?

I believe the Peterson cigars were discontinued some time ago, but you may be able to find some closeouts somewhere...I remember one of the big retailers blowing them out for super low prices earlier in the year.

I had one a couple of years ago. I have not seen one in a while. I thought it was a pretty good cigar.

Its an Ashton brand, so Holts would be the first place to look.

They actually still sell these in Europe I believe, could be wrong on that. However they were not only discontinued in the US market some years ago... they were actually "recalled" ashton started offering credit to retailers who sent in their unsold stock. I think I did what most people did... just mark them down heavily and blow them out.

Taste was average, but I remember the filler being lacking in quantity, i.e. not enough filler, very spongy.

From what I found that's about $112.00 ? Even if it was $82.50 for 5 smokes, that's way too rich for my budget.

Nice job gathering the info, Michael, that was a Brotherly gesture.

Having smoked some Peterson cigars back in the day, I would say 12.50 would be too much. As I remember last year, they were selling boxes of 25 for less than half that $112 price.

Thanks Tom. I enjoyed doing it.

And yes sir! At half that, I'd probably be willing to try one or two, but otherwise not so much.
