Taboo Twist Torpedo
Just finished my first Taboo Cigar and I must say... It was AMAZING.
Really enjoyed this torpedo. Very steady burn with one minor touch-up. Extremely creamy with a chocolate undertone for the first two-thirds. The final third was a blast of chocolate with some coffee under tones. I really enjoyed this and can't wait to try some of the other Taboo's that are in the Humi. -Lane P.S. This is my first shot at a review. |

Re: Taboo Twist Torpedo
Mike, thank you so much! Ok, my brother and I immediately tore into those toros. Man, these were good. Beautiful construction, burned evenly from start to finish. Lots of creamy smoke, and the draw was absolutely perfect.
Been looking for a new smooth smoke that was more in the middle of the road in terms of strength. This fits the bill. I will have to definitely check out the retail section as I want some of these sitting in my humidor! Thanks again man. This made my day, as this has been one hell week on campus. |

Good review, it brought some light to my eye. I agree the Taboo line of cigars is a good brand, I reach for them regularly.

Re: Taboo Twist Torpedo
I love the Twist but I got some of the original Twist petite coronas and they were not good for my taste. Very different.

Re: Taboo Twist Torpedo
The best way I can describe it is "burnt". Like overly roasted coffee, maybe. It's from the filler. I took one apart to see what was up. The bigger vitolas have a different mixture in them. The PCs might even be different now.

Re: Taboo Twist Torpedo
I keep hearing great things about Taboo. not a big fan of barber poles but if they're good, I don't care what they look like. I guess it's time to go ahead and pull trigger on one of their samplers.
glad you enjoyed it! |

Great people, no doubt.
I also highly recommend the Special forces and Special forces boot camp. I'm a big RG guy, rarely do I buy anything under 54RG. I was bombed some Taboos by BOTL Tenor CS. Included was a SFBC churchill. 52RG, if I remember correctly. It was amazing.
