Same here. She crinkled her nose and said, "You're not growing a moustache, are you?" I said, "Fine, I won't raise awareness for something that could kill me." Nothing was said afterwards.

If you're going to be an "official" grower, signing up to participate in the challenge online, etc., states that it can't touch the hair under the chin, becoming a goatee.
If you're just doing it as a casual observer to raise awareness, that's okay.
