Patagas question
I have a glass-tubed Partagas that I've had for a while. It has a small metal tag, on a string, that reads "1995". It has a black band and a second band, although I don't remember what's written on it. Is this cigar from 1995? I'm going to smoke it soon, should be interesting since I don't smoke Dominican cigars anymore.

Re: Patagas question
The current release is actually '98 so chances are they were released 3 years ago. Coming in a month or two will be the '99's. I love the '98's and will be interested to see if the '99's are just as good. They also release Yearly Humidor in glass tubes of Limited Reserve. These however do not have a metal tag, as of late the tags are cardboard. Smoke it and let us know what you think!

Re: Patagas question
NC Partagas better cigars have usually been in a glass tube. For a long time their "Humitube" cigars were fantastic. Haven't had one in a decade, but I'd imagine that is one they shouldn't tamper with.
1995 they released some limited cigars. One set with an aged wrapper that was lot of hyped and did not live up to it. Another one was their continued "Limited Reserve" which were among the best NC's of the era.
