Oliva Serie V Maduro
Date: 10/24/08
Cigar: Oliva Serie V Maduro (6.5 x 52) Cost: $8 Drink: Coke Temperature: 46 F, 10 mph winds Appearance: 1 banded cigar that says "Oliva Serie V Maduro Especial" on the band. The wapper was smooth with no major veins showing. Pre-light: Didn't really have any special scent to it. I didn't really pick up any special taste pre-light. Taste of the cigar: This cigar was chocolatey, spicy, and had a little bit of coffee flavor. It also had a nice sweetness to it. It never got harsh. Construction: Held an long ash. The draw was perfect. The cigar required a few touchups. Strength: This was a full flavored cigar. I didn't get a nic buzz from it. Halfway through: 3/4 through: Summary: This cigar was delicious. These are better than the regular Oliva V's. I would definitely buy this again. OLIVA NEEDS TO MAKE THESE AGAIN! I give this a 9.5/10. |

Re: Oliva Serie V Maduro
Great review and I love the pictures. I'm like a little kid, I flip (scroll) through the photo's then read. I just picked up two boxes from my local B&M. They have four boxes open and ready, just screaming "Waynegro1, Waynegro1, Take us to our new home" I couldn't resist. This is why I don't go to the humane society. What ya gonna do?
Again, great review. Last edited by Waynegro1; 10-25-2008 at 11:46 PM. |

Re: Oliva Serie V Maduro
So hard to find at local B&Ms lately because of the limited production, but that's part of what makes it so special! I LOVE this cigar....great review, bro!

Re: Oliva Serie V Maduro
Good review, thanks. I had one of these earlier in the week and i liked it all the way down to the toothpick holding nub. They are hard to find locally, only one B&M have them around here.
I still am leaning towards the "G"'s. I am a fanatic about them. But the "V" was definitely a good smoke. -Dan |
