Wink Thank you Ernesto Carillo....

Just got a lovely package from Miami,a box of the long awaited Carillo Encore. This is the Edition Inaugural 2009,consisting of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos aged from 2-5 years, with an Ecuadoran wrapper grown in limited quantities.
After a few days of resting them I will send in a review,I am really excited to finally get to try Ernesto's new blend...

Very much in the ballpark, IMO- quite similar flavors. I need to try it again, though.

Thats EXACTLY how I felt about these smokes when they were released, was hoping for a better priced smoke than 13.00 a piece.

I know Ernesto is set to relase a regular production line some time in April of 2010. Last time I spoke to him he was thinking the retail on the cigars would be between $5 and $8, depending on size.

I know he was torn as far as releasing a limited edition cigar for his first one post-General Cigar. I do appreciate the fact that he felt he had a superb cigar in the EP Carrillo Edicion Inaugural Encore and decided to release it and stand behind it. I love these cigars, probably my favorite from the trade show this year.

I have been on the fence about buying a box of these for a while now. I finally pulled the trigger tonight! I can't wait to get these and try them out!
