Greg Lake passed 7 Dec.
I was bummed to just now hear that Greg Lake passed away after a long battle with cancer on 7 Dec. He was an integral part of two prog-rock behemoths, King Crimson and (obviously) Emerson, Lake and Palmer. With Keith Emerson's passing earlier this year, that means 2/3 of one of the most talented, ambitious, audacious, and successful bands of the '70's is now gone. RIP, Greg; your majestic voice and fantastic musicianship will be missed.
Here's one of my favorite Christmas songs, which is actually a cry against the over-commercialization of Christmas: https://youtu.be/t8facHjO_mU And some Prog-Metal while Heavy Metal was still in its infancy. I can imagine some hippies in 1969 sh&^ting their bell bottoms in fear after hearing this for the first time. Lake's distorted, rage-filled vocals are decades ahead of their time: https://youtu.be/Cj-H6UkKJFI
