Smoking while driving
I know when you're just hanging around relaxing with a smoke, to correct an uneven burn you put the slow side down. But when you're driving on the freeway, window open, going 65 MPH, how do you correct that burn? I've tried searching for it but couldn't find anything.

Roll the window up a bit and turn on the ac?
Is this a trick question?

Re: Smoking while driving
I open front windows about 2 inches and open back windows all the way. This eliminates the burn issues. If it's really hot, I keep front windows closed, open back windows 2 inches and turn on the air. I am a freaking genius.
MCS PS Cigar Bobken is an essential piece to automobile cigar smoking.

Torch works best! That being said, with a soft flame I roll the window up and close the sunroof and turn the vents off... it works decently.
I really try not to correct it in the car going 80... but sometimes you just can't help it! |

Steer with the knee and correct burn with torch.

Re: Smoking while driving
I have had so many calamities while smoking in the car. I was boxed in by two rigs once when i dropped a fat robusto right into my lap--and it promptly rolled under my leg. Try not to panic in that situation...
But then again, what the hell else am I going to do on a 4 hour drive? Uneven burns come with the territory of being busy with the road, so i don't even fret about them. It IS a b#tch and a half to purge though. |

Scott is smart, he knows stuff.
I smoke and drive all the time between Cancun and Playa and I agree with the others, just torch it and work your way through it. I can't have the AC on as its a company car and I don't want to stink the car up, running the AC impregnates the car with the smoke smell - hard to explain especially in the rental cars... I am going to pick up a Bobken too! |
