Nat Sherman
I never see much love on Nat Sherman cigars here.
I've had many from their lines, but the one I am enjoying the most right now is the Host maduro. I've got a box on order after trying two this past week. Now for those that have had the host maduro, would you be able to recommend some similar cigar brands near the same flavor profile? I found this cigar to be easy to smoke, full of cream and a mild sweetness to it and makes an excellent first cigar of the day. |

Re: Nat Sherman
I've had three NS, the Nat Sherman, Host Maduro, and Metropolitan. I enjoyed them all, although the Nat Sherman was a little too mild for my tastes.
As for similar profile, you might try the Genesis the Project. The PDR 1878 Capa Madura is similar but doesn't have quite the sweetness of the Host Maduro. The same could be said for the Oliva G Maduro.

I've never hosted that particular NS, but I find the maduros from ERDM and JR Ultimate to possess an earthy sweetness I enjoy.

Good call with the ERDM.

You might like the Baccarat Maduro or Asylum Insidious Maduro. Both have sweetened caps like the Host.

Re: Nat Sherman
I got a box of Metropolitan Maduro's off JR (they sell them all the time at auction). Held onto it for a year or so, tried one once in awhile. It never got any better, figured it needed a few years to rest - got rid of them.
Tried a Timeless the other day, it was okay but felt as though it needed twice the tobacco inside, was too easy to draw and didn't enjoy it. They have a new limited edition or something but seemed too expensive with the experience I have had with their brand. Someone must be smoking them!

Re: Nat Sherman
My first box purchase (phrasing) was a box of Timeless No. 2, I think I went to a S.H.I.T. herf right around the same time and gifted a couple of them to Peter… I bet he still has them.
