Tactical Flashlights?
My dad wants one for Christmas. Do any of you know much about them? I have a Surefire G2 that I have had for a while. Should I look at something else? $50 is the budget.
thanks! |

Re: Tactical Flashlights?
I use a 5.11 ATAC L2 for work. Its small, compact, and bright.

I use the 5.11 A1 at work, works great and has the three modes bright, dim, stobe
As a gift I got the Lapolice gear L1 and it is super bright, but seems to go through batteries faster. It is 49$ http://m.lapolicegear.com/lapg-opera...lashlight.html This is the L1 Last edited by BlkDrew; 12-16-2014 at 11:38 AM. |

Re: Tactical Flashlights?
My sister in law has been using one for over a year at the FAA and swears by it. YMMV though. I only have Streamlight but that's me.

Re: Tactical Flashlights?
I use a Fenix TK11. Can't remember what I paid for it, but it's my workhorse. When I bought it, it was very popular with paramedics. It replaced my Maglite at home for emergency lighting too. And since I take it camping/hiking/fishing, I wanted something IPX-8 rated.

BTW.....as a side note. I always thought the term 'flashlight' was inaccurate. Unless it has a strobe funciton, It never really flashes. I always thought 'Durabeam' was a better term. |

Re: Tactical Flashlights?
Even my headlamps are Fenix. Good stuff. I've never had an issue after using them, so I stick with something I can trust.
And jet skis should have been called boatercycles. But such is life.
