Funny that this news hit me more than any other celebrity death in years. Tom was a fixture in just about every one of my weekends for many, many years. His infectious laughter and self-deprecating humor were always just what I needed.

My cousin was an intern at their garage for a couple of years (from the area) and obviously knew both of them quite well. Was a great radio show indeed. RIP.
