Math Trouble
There was this kid named Mikey, who it seemed, was not a very good student. Math was especially tough; he just hated numbers. His parents tried everything: after school programs, private tutors, punishment, and finally, they concluded that "we'll just have to send him to the nuns". So, they send him to Catholic school. On the first day, he came home and bee-lined it for his room where he studied until supper and then bed time. He did this every single day from then on. When report card time rolled around, he got all "A"'s. His parents, unable to restrain themselves with joy, asked little Mikey: "what was it that so motivated you this time, when nothing else would?" "Well", he said, "on that first day, when I walked through the front door and saw that guy nailed to the plus sign, I knew they meant business!"

Re: Math Trouble
I always enjoyed this joke having gone through 12 straight years of Catholic school.
