Default Best Looking Cigar Bands / Boxes

While I agree you can't always judge a book by it's cover, life is too short to smoke ugly looking cigars. And besides, it's the cover that makes you read the damn book.

Post up your favorite cigar bands or packages that make your humidor look completely badass. My personal favorites from my collection so far are Gurkha 125th and anything boxed up by Illusione.

No picture, but Diamond Crown Maximus, La Sirena, Ave Maria, and Ashton ESG/VSG come to mind when I think of aesthetically pleasing bands.

I must say the San Cristobal line from Ashton has some really nice looking bands. A lot of art in those bands/boxes.

Cohiba band, their cardboard packaging and tubos are the best designs IMO.

I love the new Romacraft bands. Simple yet refined. Liga Privada #9's are my favorite bands. Love the illusiones rothschilds bands also.

Did you ever notice the white secondary bands on the Romacrafts are embossed with cave paintings? Little touches like that are great.

Sorry man, but I'm on the exact opposite side of the spectrum. I think life is too short to smoke "pretty" cigars that suck. If a cigar tastes good and it fits what I like, I'll be happy all day long. And... I read books based off friends/family recommendations or reviews I've seen, not by what the cover looks like.

But I understand the point of your thread... from my stash, the box/packaging that I like the best is this:

While this isn't in my personal collection (but please, I invite anybody to change that), I find this to be one of the most beautiful presentations about there for cigars. I know it's technically a humidor, but it's how they come, so it counts

This was said for shock value, or a joke or something right? You smoke cigars based on the band?

These are really nice in person, photos don't do them justice.

and of course the Behike band

Seriously? I smoke cigars for flavor not paper. Many cigars I smoke have no bands at all.

But if we're talking presentation. I think these boxes would be near the top for. Please dont bomb me!

I'm going to chime in on this... If you take 100% of cigar smokers, only about 20% of those are social media active. This includes cigar forums, cigar review blogs, twitter, facebook, instagram. By active I am stating those who actively seek out cigars.

When a new cigar comes out the 80% of consumers look to advertising or presentation to try a cigar for the first time. So the band, and box art plays a huge role on enticing people to try a cigar for the first time.

The cigar itself will determine if they come back or not.

As someone relatively new to cigars I agree with miamicigarco. When I was first looking at cigars to buy I would read the review on the site but I would also look at what the cigar looked like. That being said, what made me like the cigar and want another one of that kind was the taste and how it smoked.
