Vino Temp,,is this a good deal?
I see threads talking about having these to store their boxes of cigars in and wondered if this is a decent deal? It is a 12 bottle storage and has a temp control of 55-66 degrees for $79 at Target. What do you think?

It's hard to tell from their site, but I would make sure it's a thermo-electric unit before pulling the trigger. That will help smooth out the RH swings when the unit cycles on and off.

Its going to be really small. I would buy two if you plan on storing a lot of cigars.

Anyone been able to verify Emerson as thermo-electric?
What about this one instead? http://www.target.com/Avanti-16-Bott...ice&rh=&page=1

That second one looks fine but I don't know what the auto defrost is or does and I don't know how that will affect the humidity. It also might fill up a little quickly with cigars.

Re: Vino Temp,,is this a good deal?
the 28 bottle units are all over ebay. if you wait a few days you will probably see that microsoft will raise their cash back amount and you can probably snag one for around 100 shipped or so. they were doing 30% cash back not that long ago.

Re: Vino Temp,,is this a good deal?
Thanks everyone for your input,,,the 16 bottle Avanti looks like the better buy anway as I would only put 5-10 boxes in this unit. I have more than enough humis and a coolerador to store cigars. I just thought for the money this might be a good deal but the one GKitty pointed out seems to be much better. Thanks again.
