Default Surrogate Tramp Stamp

A Peppin creation based somewhat off the Pete's Black label personal blend

Vitola: Corona Gorda-ish
Length: 5 1/4
Ring Gauge: 48
Wrapper: Ecuadoran Habano
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
Pair with: Dr Pepper
Location: Living room (not allowed to smoke in house but old lady took my money to Christmas shop for in-laws I do not like so )
Smoke time: roughly 1 1/2 hour

A nice dark brown wrapper one noticeable vein but overall not sure whether to light it or eat it. The foot has that Mummy folded wrapper, making it very easy to light, and the burn razor sharp most of the time, but that is getting a little ahead is it not.
The wrapper and foot give off a chocolate, sweet boutique smell. The pre drawl was for me all Peppin black pepper.

First Third

A blast of Peppin black pepper on the finish, starting off with a sweet coca, floral taste for the first three or four puffs. This switches getting into it but the flavor profile stays the same through out the first third a start sweet chocolate/ spice start and a Peppin black pepper finish. Not overly complex but not anywhere near boring. The burn is perfect and the ash a dark grey sort of lose but no flowering.

2nd third

The flavor profile transitions toward the end of the first third into the start of the 2nd to that of slightly stronger black pepper (nothing overwhelming) and some floral notes. The retro hale really gives off both very well, the finish as well as start the really loses some of the pepper and the sweetness making way for a woodsy/floral concoction, with subdued hints of a maduro sweet tobacco. Very different from the first third although it may read the same. The burn requires a slight touch up but that is most likely me being anal, and the ash does not flower or flake falls at about 2".

Last third
The last third as with most Peppin's the pepper is gone. The sweetness is there somewhat but mostly the last third reminds me of a PLPC, there is other way for me to accurately describe, a woodsy nut flavor, very different from the first 2/3, and something I enjoy so much that I puffed on it so frequently it got bitter on me and now that is the taste on my palate. Definitely my fault and not a knock on the cigar.

Overall an great smoke, will definitely be buying more and gifting many. I do not see a box which I spilt with a friend being enough. It was a bit harsh in spots, however, I received these sticks on Monday and excepted such given the little time I allowed them to rest. Not overly complex, but not boring at all.
