Default Henge Dock for MacBooks

Decided to start doing some more work from home, and wanted to get an external monitor. I didn't want to just leave my laptop sitting on the desk, and remembered Gizmodo talking about some sort of dock for MacBooks. I looked it up and found my way to the Henge Dock website (www.hengedocks.com)

There is a nice video on their site, and also options for most types of Apple laptops. But anyways, here are a few pics (apologies for the somewhat poor quality)

Picture of the connectors inside of the dock. You use a hex wrench that is provided to tighten the connectors into place, then just slide the macbook in.

Here you can see where the hex screws are that tighten down the connectors.

And a picture of the entire desk. I really like how the dock gives the area a very clean look.

Neato.

How's the stability with the larger Macbook?

I'm guessing that there is a non-slip coating of some sort on the bottom of the dock (I hope)?

Yes there is a coating on the bottom. I haven't noticed any reason to be concerned about stability. It feels very sturdy when you dock the macbook.

Great looking add-on. We used to use Bookendz at work, but found they didn't stand up.
I usually just keep my MBP open on my desk as I like to use both monitors.

I've heard of those, but ended up preferring to dock vertically to save space

Badass. I'll be in the market for a new MBP next spring. Mine is barely hanging in there.
