La Aroma de Cuba
NAME: La Aroma De Cuba
SPECS: Corona, 5.5" x 44 APPEARANCE: Some veins, somewhat oily sheen, medium firmness, great construction, nice dark wrapper PRELIGHT: Easy draw, light sweet flavors of honey FIRST THIRD: Heavy coffee flavors, very smooth, balanced flavors. Copious amounts of white, fragrant smoke. Very firm, white ash. Light spice on the aftertaste. SECOND THIRD: Similar flavors from before, but picking up strength. I can pick up notes of chocolate, dirt, and earth. LAST THIRD: Nice toasty finish! Medium to full body, with robust tobacco flavors. I nubbed this sucker. SMOKING TIME: 1 Hour PRICE: About $110 for a box of 25, $4.40 per stick CONCLUSION: A pleasant and enjoyable smoke! The ash held on well, and the burn was straight throughout. A pretty straightforward cigar with some complexity. For the price, well worth it! Not in my list of all-time favorites, but a good stick nonetheless. |

Re: La Aroma de Cuba
Agreed...nothing great, but not bad for the price. And you can get these everywhere!

Nice review, Robert.
Smoked a lot of the LAdC Robustos back in the day. A good reasonably priced cigar, although I preferred the old blend to the current one.

Re: La Aroma de Cuba
Right now, I have a couple different vitolas and types of la Aromas:
La Aroma De Cuba (Churchill) La Aroma De Cuba Mi Amor (Magnifico - Toro) La Aroma De Cuba Edicion Especial (No. 3 - Toro) I've yet to smoke these ones yet, but I'll let you know how they come out! Should be good, but I'm gonna let them sit in the humidor for a bit! |
