Best Video Games of the Modern Era. What do you Recommend?
By Modern Era I mean N64, PS1, XBox, Dreamcast, and beyond. Super Mario 1, 2, 3, Metroid, Kid Icarus, PacMan, Galaga, Pole Position, Custer's Revenge, and etc. are all great, but I'm talking about games made in 1997 and beyond.I'm talking about the post-16 bit era. What do you recommend?
I'll start it out here: Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (my favorite modern game of all time) MLB: The Show '08 Mario 64 Goldeneye (N64) God of War 3 Uncharted 1,2, and 3 Castlevania: Symphony of the Night Castlevania: Rondo of Blood COD: MW3 Bioshock Contra Rebirth Batman: Arkham Asylum Batman: Arkham City Little Big Planet 2 Mario Galaxy Mario Glaxy 2 Legend of Zelda: Ocorina of Time Sonic Adventure Sonic Adventure 2 Star Wars: Episode III COD: Black Ops Assassin's Creed II GTA IV GTA: San Andreas Metroid Prime Madworld Burgertime: World Tour Lego Star Wars series Lego Harry Potter series Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Metroid: Other M Many more, but these are off the top of my head. Recommend me some decent games that are available for current systems. Even the old games that I mentioned are available for the current three systems and the PC.

I would have to add Final Fantasy VII, Final Final Fantasy Tactics and Boarderlands. The new Mario Brothers game for the Wii is also pretty slick.

I too was going to add FF7 and FF Tactics (actually playing it on my Iphone right now)
I would also add Elder Scrolls: Oblivion Elder Scrolls: Skyrim Fallout 3 Yes I'm a bit of a Bethesda fan Metal Gear Solid I would include all 4 of the Assassin's Creed Games Red Dead Redemption Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Halo Resident Evil (how did you guys miss this one!) Tekken 3 GTA 3 (1st of the great open world games) Tomb Raider

Never heard of it. I assume it's either a precursor to Pitfall or a rip-off.
I'm not very well-versed in the Atari 2600 series, but I am VERY aware of the best in its library.

Though I rarely play video games anymore, this list cannot be complete without the best fighter game of all time (Marvel vs. Capcom 2) or best racing game of all time (Gran Turismo 5). Although not a console, Counter-Strike is still my favorite FPS of all time. While talking about blasts from the past, have to (quietly) tip my hat to Baldur's Gate 2. Lost waaaaaay too much time to that game in college. Must. Resist. Urge.
