Re: RIP Dick Clark
For those of us old enough to have known him before his New Year's Eve fame, from back in the American Bandstand days, and who understand the impact he had on the US music scene . . . especially considering he was not a musician himself . . . this is truly a sad day.
Rest in peace, Dick Clark.

Re: RIP Dick Clark
He hasn't hosted AB in a long while, but I'll always remember his Rockin' New Year Celebrations and many other contributions to the entertainment media. I still remember the "That guy never ages" commercial from the 1990s. After the stroke he finally started to show his age.
He will be missed and New Year's Eve will never be quite the same. Rest in Peace, Mr. Clark.
