Rolling my own...

Making your own tobacco?
So after rolling a lot of cigars I now have a lot of scraps, I was thinking about making my own pipe tobacco and was wondering if anyone here has made their own. May have been posted before, I apologize if it has.

Re: Making your own tobacco?
Cigar tobacco is not the same as pipe tobacco, that said, its not like the combo of both hasn't been done before(McClellands Dominican Glory comes to mind right away). To make your own pipe tobaccos, you'd need a shredder to get leaves down into ribbons. I would assume many have tried tweaking their own blends by mixing certain tins with others, or adding a touch of straight perique or something to that effect to the tin, but I haven't heard of anyone processing and tinning their own.

Re: Making your own tobacco?
I'd say your best bet would be to roll some short filler cigars. The amount of. Cigar tobacco in pipe blends is relatively small I think.
