Taboo Cigars
OK, I have had my share of Taboo cigars. And, I have also noticed that they are tought to get lately (espcially my favorite - HSGs). What is also strange is that I haven't seen them discussed much on CA lately.
I have also heard that the blends have changed and that they do are not once what they were What are your thoughts? What do you all know?

Re: Taboo Cigars
I've order once since then. It's not that I don't like them (the twist is one of my all time favorites), it's just they aren't on here actively and I totally forget about them when I make orders. Thanks for reminding me Rev!

Re: Taboo Cigars
Same here. I think they even had a banner on CS. Not bad cigars at all, from what I remember.

If they were made by Tatuaje they would be discussed incessantly.

I ordered from the once back in the CS days. Now the only Taboo I have is the one you gave me, Todd. I think it was an HSG from a long way back.

Re: Taboo Cigars
I thought I read an e-mail from Rob recently that said they were unhappy with what they were receiving from the factory and are in search of another. They sounded hopeful that they would have some in the near future.

They had been very regular on this forum. (...short period of time passes) OK, they joined early, in Oct. of '08. Their last activity was in July of '10. I know they did a huge remodeling of their shop. I also know they have become a lounge and stuff there. So, wondered if their absence here was a direct result of those things, or if their lack of available Taboo product brought about their inactivity here? I know on a couple occasions I had wanted to get some more HSGs, but there were none of my brands available. I will get e-mails that they have received some stock, but when I get there it is all gone. So, either their shipments are small, ore they don't need to advertise anymore, they are that popular - and their e-mail missives get the job done. Peace of the Lord be with you.

When I first got serious in the hobby a few years ago, the Taboo Twist was all everyone talked about...wasn't a big fan. I LOVED the Special Forces Boot Camp and they up and stopped making them.

That's them Earl.
And I almost forgot...the Exotic Blend Original Maduros are not bad at all. Greg (Longknocker) gifted me an aged 5er of these at Epic IV this past November. They are burning very nicely.

Re: Taboo Cigars
I have talked to Rob in the past, he's good people. I haven't pried much about where the cigars come from and who produces them for him. I know Oliva did a lot of his work, but I believe that my favorite, the HSG were not made by Oliva.
Actually, I was just wondering more about why we haven't seen much discussed here about Taboo in a long time.
