Default Holiday winding down thoughts

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. It's "ours" here in the US like 4th of July, Labor day, Presidents/MLK day. Props to all other nations but celebration of something uniquely American is nice in these trying times.

As things wind down I feel very thankful to still have both sets of our parents with us to celebrate with. Spending time with the extended family brings back so many memories while making new ones.

Having the girls home for a long weekend reminds us why we miss them so while also making us look forward to them leaving. Such is the evolving nature of our lives I guess.

Hope everyone had the chance to enjoy loved ones these past few days. I'm sort of looking forward to going back to work, living and eating like this all the time? I would be round.
