Rolling your own
Hey guys,
I have just started rolling my own cigars, i was wondering if anyone else here was doing the same? I have been ordering my tobacco from Leafonly.com and i have bought a couple of cigar molds from BLH industries in PA ( the make the molds for some big name cigar manufacturers) I did a quick search and didnt find any post pertaining to this subject, and i'd like to get some discussion started on this new found hobby of mine. |

That's too funny, me and SteelCityBoy (Ken) met up at a B&M tonight and were discussing this same idea. How have they come out? Post some pics please!!!

Re: Rolling your own
This is pretty cool. I would love to attempt at something like this, but I'm sure accessing quality tobacco in Canada is more of a hurdle than the US. I would love to see the process that you undergo to produce your product! Post some pics if you are willing!

Re: Rolling your own
Granted i have only made 5 sticks,
when i buy from Leafonly, i buy the samples which are 1/4 lb and is plenty. good prices at 5-10$ per 1/4 lb youtube is your friend when learning to bunch, bind and wrap. @Lanks- Leafonly.com ships to Canada. @blak Smyth- i have ordered some better wrappers, the ones i intended to use the first time had some larger veins. the mold in the picture is from JpRose in Ohio, it is a good hobbyist mold. I purchased one like this Last edited by BlkDrew; 10-22-2011 at 02:02 AM. |

Re: Rolling your own
got some CT shade leaf for the wrappers. I also have Ligero, and Seco fillers from nicaragua.
and here is organizing the wrappers, spreading them out as they were bunched together, moistening the leaves etc.. Last edited by BlkDrew; 10-24-2011 at 01:01 PM. |

Re: Rolling your own
Pretty neat!
But I'll leave it to the experts. You know, the hot, young Nicaraguan women rolling the cigars on their nubile thighs.... That's how it's done, right? |

Re: Rolling your own
That's pretty awesome. For your first time rolling those sticks don't look too terrible. I do love the Pizza Cutter Cheveta. Nice job!

That is awesome. I would love to give it a shot but I do not want to make that investment until I get back home.

Re: Rolling your own
Very cool. How much was the initial cost? Where do you learn to do it? How much are your smokes costing per stick on avg so far? How long does it take? How do they taste? I like the DIY idea!
