The Catcher In The Rye -- Hunter S. Thompson
I'm gonna guess that the above is fav novel/author. I don't read fiction. My favorite author is Steven Ambrose. The book that most shaped my world view is The Sum of Good Government by Phil Crane.

I have to say that the only book I can go back and read cover to cover, I've done it many times, is Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game. |

Reading a lot of Nelson DeMille right now. Like Vince Flynn, and John Sanford. Brian Lumley did a series on vampires and such in the Necroscope series. Good stuff.
Also a big Stephen King fan. Loved The Stand and It. |

Re: Favorite Author/Novel
I tend to like the horror genre when I have time to read for pleasure.
Stephen King....love "Pet Semetary" and "Misery". Dean Koontz....favorite is "Midnight". Also dig Richard Preston. My favorite from him is "Demon in the Freezer". Truth can be scarier than fiction.
