Motorheads, Check This Shelby Series 1...
This Shelby Series 1 belongs to my BIL Frank. His Dad bought this from Carroll who was a friend. Carroll got car #1 off the line, Frank's Dad got #2. Frank (my BIL) subsequently inherited it.
I've seen her before, I just never took time to take pictures. Franks has a couple Mustangs that are incredible, as well. Anyways, I thought you guys might enjoy some pics, so I took some while we were over there yesterday for a graduation party/birthday. This is the poster that hangs in the house garage. This is the dash, autographed by Carroll. The bottom left under the autograph says "Thanks Frank". I thought it aslo said #2 underneath, but it doesn't. I had Frank open the garage door to light the pics, but it was still a bit dark and cramped.

Glare makes some stuff look like there may be scratches and so forth. There's not a blemish anywhere on this car, you could eat spaghettios off any surface and not get a speck of dirt. Frank keeps all his cars like that.

Those kids wouldn't get within 100 yards of that car if it was mine.
Beautiful ride.

This pic is from a friend of mines 2009 Shelby GT. It was signed by Shelby while my friend was stationed in Iraq. We arranged to have the car put in the Shelby museum after it was built and we sent pics over to him while on tour, imagine his shock Regardless the series 1 is a rare car, that one has an awesome story behind it as well, id have it in a bubble personally

The Black Mustang that Frank has looks just like the one in the pics you just posted. I used to have pics on my phone, I'll check... Nope, no pics. I showed Lisa, I don't think his car is dressed out like that one. I'll have to find out what it is. The one at his store is a blue and white GT500, the old shelby mustang, I do believe. I'd have to ask him, I only saw that one one while I was getting my tux for my wedding (he owns a tuxedo outfit).

Re: Motorheads, Check This Shelby Series 1...
Frank would let those kids drive the car if they wanted. It's funny how much he loves his cares and takes care of them, but he wants people to enjoy them as much as he does. If the kids slobber on his cars, he gets to clean them.
He just leant out his black Mustang a couple weeks ago and it cost him 3K to replace the clutch after he left Family Day (he totally didn't want to leave) and after he went to rescue the guy who broke it and was stranded. He wasn't at all upset with the guy, not even a little. He's told me ten times how much the clutch cost, which is making him sick, but it's funny. He's just a special guy. A real good one. But on that note, while I was takling pictures there was an old, crappy wooden stepladder leaning up against the wall on the other side of the car and it would have fallen with one bump. I had to move it, I couldn't stand it.

Re: Motorheads, Check This Shelby Series 1...
I guess the motor and powertrain in this machine is an Aurora, which is GM stuff, a departure for Shelby, but only because Ford had no muscle available. From what Frank said (or my feeble understanding), it's the progenetor of the Northstar V8 that they use in Caddies. There's a wikipedia link in the OP that says some more about specs.
A couple of the family members who have drove/rode in this thing say once you hit 120 in 6th gear, there's a whole pedal's worth of goose left to send you into oblivion. It's a bit scary powerful. Some day when Frank hasn't had a few, I'll have him take me on a death ride and see what she has, if we can get me in there.

The outside of that car is big on the cool factor; awesome! I am not sure about the dashboard though, guages, radio, and ac knobs scream GM product to me.

Yah I agree I wasn't too excited about the dash but the rest of the car makes up for that!

They are totally GM and very sparse. I thought it odd, too.
