Re: Found a kitten
Humane Society/Animal Shelter. Milk is good for the kitten, a small used towel/old tshirt for some warmth as it will be slightly chilly tonight. Also suggest putting it in the garage (if you have one) until morning, protected from the elements and can't sneak off.

Re: Found a kitten
Appropriate that that was post 6666 for me. Gotta change that right away! How does it look? Good shape or very skinny? Could it belong to someone in the neighborhood? Ideal thing would be to keep it if not. But take it to a vet first to make sure it doesn't have fleas. You could post a note around saying you found a kitten and/or you have a kitten to give away.

Re: Found a kitten
Found a dog running loose a 4-5 years ago-no tags. Took to the humane society and I had to pay $20 to surrender the dog. Luckily he was chipped and the owner was going to be notified. Small price to hopefully reunite a dog with its owner, but they wouldn't release the info just so I could even follow up.

Re: Found a kitten
My wife found a kitten on our back porch one night while it was snowing pretty hard. Her great idea, bring it in the house. Did I mention that I was deployed and that we have a beagle? Long story short, the beagle loved the kitten. how do I know this you might ask? He played with it, followed it around, and rolled in its poop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My wife had to bathe him right before bed time. The next day my wife took the kitten to the Humane Society and dropped it off. When my wife got home and let Beau out of his room, he roamed the house for an hour looking for the kitten.
I know its not really an answer to your question, but I thought I'd share. My thought, take it to the HS. |

Re: Found a kitten
My dog found a cat once.... We took him to the veterinarian, who gave him shots, got him relatively healthy and my ex-wife still has him(I kept the dog). He has to be like 15.... He's a good cat...
