Default Where is the best Chicago Deep-Dish

So my brother (FaderJoe) gets out of basic training in a few days and I am flying out to Illinois to see him. His only request was with the few hours I get to see him before he ships off to South Carolina for more training is the best piece of Chicago deep-dish pizza he has ever had. So here is the question for all the Chicago-ians, who makes the best deep-dish pizza in the city and where is it?

Icehog, I really want your opinion since you had to be depression eating after that first Vancouver game.

Oh and Go Caps!!!

Edwardo's and Gino's East are good, but when I go home I head to Lou Malnoti's.

Icehog is off the grid until sometime tomorrow but there are some Chicago botls here that will chime in if they see this.

I like Uno's and the original is in Chicago.

there are so many great pizza places in the city, all slightly different. best is kinda hard to say (like picking the best cigar, one is great for this reason, the other for that)... but if i had to decide on where i would go today, my vote would have to go to lou malnati's.

Opinions vary....of the big places, I like Giordanos best, with Lou Malnottis being a close second. Eduardos is good too but most of there restaurants have closed.

Personally not a big fan of Uno or Gino's, as I said, opinions vary.

Believe it or not, my favorite place for deep-dish isn't in the city itself...it's at The Silo, on Rt 176 just west of Lake Forest. But, that's just me.

Giordano's was also very good... but the butter crust on the Malnotti's pie put it over the top for me.

I have actually done that. It's only 5 1/2 hours from my house to the Girodano's in Downtown. Spend a night, hit it again the next day, and get home.
