Default Cruzero de Panama churchill

Cruzero de Panama is an old Panamanian brand which has recently been re-released as explained in the review of the Cruzero de Panama robusto. I got a few of the Cruzero de Panama and Marca Fina robusto from a cigar shop. They were left over from a tasting. I kept one of each for a review and gave the others away to members of my Dutch website sigarenliefhebber.nl. The 7x46 churchills have a price tag of 8.50 EUR.

The cigar looks good, the band is great, nice colors and nice design, it reminds me of knights and medieval times. The wrapper is light with a few veins and when punching it I discovered it's very thin too. It's not really oily. The cigar has a nice mild wood smell. The construction is good and the predraw is fine. I taste some sweet tobacco

I taste a mild and sweet coffee with some honey and a dry plywood flavor. The aftertaste is mild peppery, but the sweetness also comes back in the aftertaste. After half an inch the cigar is less sweet. I taste a nice and smooth wood flavor. The cigar is mild musty, I suspect this cigar to have a Connecticut shade wrapper. I also taste some chocolate on the background.

After a third I taste some sugar with wood and that mild musty Connecticut shade flavor and the falvors change to a sugar sweet flavor with herbs. The cigar ripples on, the flavors are pleasant, mild sweet with some wood and herbs. The flavors are smooth and medium strong. After two thirds I also taste a mild spice and every now and then a hint of cacao. Near the end I taste a strong white pepper flavor.

This cigar has a smoke time of an hour and forty minutes. The draw was great, just like the burn. The silver gray ash is firm. I got a lot of quite thick smoke. This cigar is mild to medium bodied and medium flavored.

Would I buy this cigar again? Yeah, this is a nice mild to medium smoke
