Thoughts on 777 by Jesus Fuego?
I recently snagged a box of Triple 7s by Jesus Fuego on CA and was wondering if any of you could shed some light on them? They have had pretty good reviews from what I have found but I couldn't find any reviews on here (maybe I just missed them in the search though). I know that Origen, one of his other lines, is very highly thought upon on here. Anyways, just wondering what your thoughts are on the 777s and hopefully I didn't waste my money.

I like them as they are a nice budget smoke. I can usually score boxes on Cigarauctioneer at pretty reasonable pricing.

I have only smoked one, but thought it was just alright, nothing great. If you get them for the right price, they will make a good budget smoke.

I bought a sampler of them, tried one when they arrived. It was a decent smoke. I am going to let them sit for a while. I was told they do improve with some age.

They seem to be pretty well liked. I keep telling myself I'm going to pick some up the next time I see a deal on them, but I never get around to it.

These babies have been resting for about 6 months and are amazing now. I am falling in love with them.

I just picked up a Maduro and a corojo at my local B&M. Smoking the Maduro right now and finding it to be a great cigar. Here on Oahu it was $4.25 - very cheap for a good cigar in Hawaii

Re: Thoughts on 777 by Jesus Fuego?
Just smoked a J. Fuego 777 Maduro Toro I got in a Maduro sampler. The flavor was good, creamy and smooth, but the construction was dismal. The first two inches of wrapper was flaking away from the binder. The draw was too open and I didn't get ample smoke until I got past the flakey part at which point the cigar began to tunnel for around 2 inches. I noticed a thick stem had been rolled into the blend as well. I didn't give up and did enjoy the full flavors which stayed about the same through the entire cigar. I've got another one that looks like it will do better, but I have a feeling that construction flaws turn up often with this cigar. It's a cheapie smoke for everday, but there are better constructed out there at or below the price like the Sancho Panza Double Maduro.
