Tatuaje pork tenderloin
This limited edition, bandless Tatuaje is a creation for the Glouchester Street Cigar Company in Boston, a cigar shop without a website, so for me, living in Europe, it would have been impossible to get my hands on these cigars if it wasn't for the help of my friend Jim, who was kind enough to do a box split between me, him, two of my Dutch friends and a few other inmates of Cigar Asylum. The packaging of these cigars are awesome, pictures can be found at the bottom of this page.
This might be the darkest cigar I have ever seen. It is dark, oily with a tough looking vein and it has a pigtail. This cigar screams that it is bad ass. I smell sweet wood and barnyard aromas. The construction feels good. The predraw is fine and tastes peppery. I taste a full smooth coffee flavor with some herbs. After half an inch I also taste wood with some herbs in the aftertaste. At the two inch mark I get a little bit of chocolate on the background, but it disappears after only two puffs. Halfway the cigar gets a mild sweetness with the well balanced mix of wood, herbs and spices. I think I taste nutmeg and a hint of cinnamon. Every now and then I also taste some chocolate, more often not though. This 5⅛x52 cigar lasted me for a little bit more than one hour and twenty minutes. The smoke is amazing, thick and white and plenty. The draw is great and the burn is fabulous, straight as an arrow and slow. The ash is almost white, compact and firm. This cigar is definitely full flavored and full bodied. Would I buy this cigar again? If I get the chance, I will Appearance: 8 / 10 Construction: 8/ 10 Draw: 8 / 10 Burn: 9 / 10 Smoke & ash: 8 / 10 Aroma first part: 8 / 10 Aroma second part: 8 / 10 Aroma third part: 9 / 10

WOW! I'm going to have to go and grab some of those! Thanks for sharing that great review!
P.S. - I'd love to see the packaging pics, but when I click the link it brings up (what I can only assume is) an error page in Dutch.

Re: Tatuaje pork tenderloin
Great review Ferdie and great pics as always. I have one of these resting. I cant wait ot try it. Especially when you mentioned the notes of Cinnamon and nutmeg. These are my favorite flavor notes in med-full cigars.
Thanks again. |

Re: Tatuaje pork tenderloin
I wasnt lucky enough to get my hands on any of these but they sucre look like a great stick. I was able to get 2 boxes of the Barclay Rex and been reading they are somewhat similiar and if so I can see why it gets so positive reviews
