Seinfeld Cigars
Just thought I'd let y'all know, that I'm watching the episode where Susan's dad gives a box of CCs to George, then gives them to Kramer. In the scene where he hands them to Kramer, you can clearly see a box of Ramon Allones Gigantes! Way to rep RA (my favorite brand )

Never noticed that... I always wondered what Kramer was smoking!

Re: Seinfeld Cigars
That's great. I've also been wondering what the cigars are in the Todd Gaak episode ("Producto de Peru?!?")

Re: Seinfeld Cigars
I read an interview with Michael Richards many years ago. He said that the cigars he smoked on the show were Big Butts made by Altadis in Honduras. http://www.altadisusa.com/cigar/bigbutt.asp
Only once can I remember seeing him smoking a banded cigar. I couldn't read it clearly but the colors looked right for this brand. A scene that I like is the one where Elaine is smoking a cigar with her feet up on Peterman's desk. "It's a peach!"

Re: Seinfeld Cigars
The first time I saw that episode at the Magic Pan I had beer spewing out my nose when Kramer said of one of the "Fake Cubans"
"Look he's rolling a double corona"

Re: Seinfeld Cigars
I'm new here, but I've posted this same thread on other forums about the RA Gigantes. I never got much response, but I'm sure glad to know there's somebody else who cares about the important things in life like what kind of cigars George gave Kramer. Cigars were in so many episodes of Seinfeld, I doubt that would happen in today's PC climate. I think the cigar stories probably come from Larry David, co-creator of Seinfeld. He's weaved cigars into a couple episodes of Curb Your Enthusiasm too.

Cigars & Guns...what else

Re: Seinfeld Cigars
RA is also my favorite brand. There was also an episode where kramer went to the cuban embasadors office and traded him his suite coat for cuban cigars and they hung out and smoked cigars. I loved that show.

Re: Seinfeld Cigars
I love that show. I'm trying to remember that episode and I think the box of "Cuban" cigars from Todd Gaak that were Producto de Peru is actually a box of Partagas #10's.
Another show with a few cigar references was Newsradio. They smoke a box of Partagas 150's in the episode where their building catches on fire. |
