Default Blazer Little Buddy Help

I ended up buying the little buddy and got it today. However, when I go to refill the torch, it spits butane out everywhere. I even purged the entire lighter letting out all air and left over butane. I am using Vector 5x filtered butane so I doubt that is the problem. The butane ends up in my torch after a while, but I lose 50% of it because it spits. Am I doing something wrong or is this a manufacture defect?

Thanks

I don't have this problem with mine. Are you using the correct tip on the butane to fill? I didn't need to change the standard one with mine...but just a thought

Yes, the nozzle fits perfectly on the little buddy. The torch just does not want to take in the butane. The pressure builds up so much that it just spits it out.

Manufacture defect. The gasket is blown where you refill. Send it back for another.

I think it is broken as well. I mean the nozzle fits perfectly and the torch has been purged. So far I have been having a horrible experience with Canada Humidors. Took forever to be shipped and arrive and then now its broken when I get the piece of junk.

I would try this before sending it back.

Make sure to line the butane and lighter straight up and have them resting together. Then plunge the butane downward quickly and see if that helps.

It took me a while to get a good method for refilling my lighters. Otherwise, I experience exactly what you mentioned.

As a side point, I got one of these and had to send it in for repairs as the trigger was faulty and would leak. I got it back and it now works, but the original is much better IMO.

Same here. If I don't line the butane nozzle up perfectly with the filler nozzle it spits. Lined up right, the lighter fills in about 5 seconds.

With the problems Blazer has had lately, it make you want to use a match.

Thank you for all your help guys, but I am refilling the torch just fine. The thing just spits out butane all over the place despite a snug fit on the valve and a straight and accurate push when trying to refill. The torch does not want to know anything. Now, the lighter also stutters when trying to light stuff. It spits bursts of flames everywhere.

Wish I could help you Carlo, but it sounds like you're doing everything right. The times my lighters have sputtered they needed a purge but you already tried that. Can you return it for a replacement?

Does this spit back happen immediately or only when you try to fill the last 10-20% of the tank? I just bought a little buddy myself and I get the spit back at the end. The tank is so big I just don't try to over do it.

I get the spit back right away when I try to refill it. I purge the entire tank and then as soon as I go to fill 1 second tops after it spits most of it out. I am done trying to make it work, the butane is quite expensive and it is not worth it.

Now I am awaiting a response from Canada Humidors for a refund or replacement. So far no word, but hopefully they will come around and answer me. So far, Blazer is not looking good for me.

You mind me asking you how much time it takes to fill up your Little Buddy?

I've only had to fill it once. I did it in a few shots and it took maybe 30 seconds to a minute.

I use Vector butane.

That is exactly what I use, and it spits it all out. I got a hold of the seller and a replacement is on its way. Let's hope Blazer won't disappoint me again, or I am going to have to sway away from them indefinitely.
