Re: Who discovered America?
I think today is a good day to honor the CA prohibition against political threads. But that's just me.

Re: Who discovered America?
I used to live in a town right on the border of a reservation. The native americans went CRAZY during Columbus day. All out protests in the streets.
Never had even thought about it until that day. I won't go into how I feel about that whole thing though. This is pretty close to political content, and things can get real heated, real fast. So I will end my post at that.

Re: Who discovered America?
i watched a pretty cool thing on the history channel that says there is evidence that a Chinese monk might have made his way to the Americas in 400.

Re: Who discovered America?
Columbus may not have "discovered" America, but he was the first person to go back and tell everyone how good cuban tobacco was. I'll give him props for that.

Re: Who discovered America?
I don't know, man- the way the Tainos smoked it (deep, hyperventilating inhalation of large bundles), I'm not sure I can ascribe much taste to the man. How we ever got from that smoking style to the modern one, I don't know (though I can guess that more than a few were tired of falling over), but thank Cohiba we did!

Re: Who discovered America?
I think some of early Cuban relatives, practicing and preparing for eventual regular 90 mile dash, discovered America.
